It is hard for me to think of the Billy Graham Crusades without thinking about the rich, velvet tones of the notable soloist George Beverly Shea. Long known for quieting the huge crowds in colosseums and auditoriums before Graham preaches, Shea has become a favorite in "The Team," as Graham calls his ministry staff.

In this project, Shea has put together some of his favorite hymns, sung in the heartfelt manner we have grown accustomed to hearing from him. Some are songs we have heard since childhood, such as "This Little Light Of Mine," and "Church In The Wildwood." Others are more traditional spirituals, such as "Steal Away." One of my favorite hymns is "How Great Thou Art," and Shea does it proud. Other songs on the album include "O Saviour Thou Are Mine," "O Love That Wilt Not Let Me Go," "Bring Back The Springtime," and "This Is My Father's World."

Moments, Vol. 1 is produced by Kurt Kaiser and Brian Konzelman. It is a beautiful collection of worship-oriented music. I am anxiously awaiting the next visit by the Billy Graham Crusades to hear Shea sing some of these great classics.
