Hundred Hands is a side-project of the Appleseed Cast's Aaron and Chris, and the product, with production help from Ed Rose, is a six-song EP called Little Eyes. While not a complete departure from TAC songs, Little Eyes is a bit more stripped than Mare Vitalis or Low Level Owl, consisting of airy, progressive melancholy (surprise) numbers that rise up for shimmering apexes sometimes. The songs are mostly cryptic story-tellers, and a fairly genuine sense of life passing by and breaking like night waves is created. Anything the Cast delves into is going to have an aura of pained, bored intelligence, and Hundred Hands' Little Eyes is not an exception.

While Appleseed Cast has released album after album of top quality music (some of which was produced by Rose), this project just doesn't have the same energy. The six songs on this disc tend to have a sleepy,…Similar sounding releases
