Har har...!! I am still laughing about it, these three Swedish white metallers are that hilarious!! Not a gloomy bunch at all, JET CIRCUS...! Not only is their rock'n roll more than joyful, but on top of that, they allow themselves to write lyrics that make complete sense...! We are certainly a long way from the era of LEVITICUS and their "Setting Fire To The Earth": not surprising, all in all, that the split happened "over musical differences", because their music (JET CIRCUS's) has not much (nothing?) to do with that of LEVITICUS...! Here we are dealing with guys packed with fun, capable of lifting the spirits of a whole battalion of discouraged white metallurgists (and yeah, Christian hard-rockers go through that too...): and that is something completely new on the Christian hard scene. Originals? Yeah, originals. Would you believe that these jolly fellows of Christian hard do not consider themselves to be a heavy metal band... Even if that is true in certain respects, make no mistake, JET CIRCUS plays a properly heavy rock'n roll ("Run", "Jet Blue",...), and a hyper joyful one. From the first chords of "Jet Blue", one thinks back to "Setting Fire To The Earth", because the very saturated sound of Ez Gomer's bass, and Terry Haw's vocals are there, well present. The vocals are excellent, punctuated with hollering (by which understand: cries of joy!!) that is absolutely insane ("Run")!! The memory is inevitable, given that Ez Gomer and Terry Haw had left their mark on "Setting Fire To The Earth". JET CIRCUS never stops making you laugh: between the Elvis Presley cover (I tell you, they are too much, these JET CIRCUS...!), "Be Bop A Lula", the rap/metal (yeah, rap!!) "Victory Dance", and the horse ride (!!!) "Rocking Horse", there is enough to split your sides from start to finish. The six tracks the demo contains are all excellent, and prove that JET CIRCUS is an original band. But their originality does not fall into mediocrity, quite the contrary...! The sound of the demo is excellent. JET CIRCUS is a band with a future if one judges by the originality of their music, and the musical abilities of our three jolly Swedes. For those who are fed up to the back teeth with all the bands that try at all costs to imitate (badly, most of the time) the inimitable Stryper, a word of advice: try JET CIRCUS, they will take you (on horseback!!) off the beaten track...!! One last word: the jokers of JET CIRCUS are more than serious and sincere about what they are saying in their "vitamin-songs"!! By the way, where does this joy of theirs come from...?? "We are happy to be born again" they state in their heavy-rap-metal "Victory Dance"... Could God be the source of their more than profound joy?...

Adonai Metal Rock #4Reviewed by Daniel BaillodTranslated from the original French The album sleeve, first of all... The three guys of JET CIRCUS are in a car park, in the middle of the night, an evening of wind and fog... Three big bikes, black leather and destroyed jeans... Ez GOMER has put his foot on a human skull... And JET CIRCUS invites us to do the same, since that is the meaning of the album title "Step On It"... Are you willing to…
