Melodic Rock. This is a band I could get into a good amount. This band is pretty upbeat and at times - hard. They focus mainly on vocal melody and guitar work. While it is melodic, this album isn't poppy. The songwriting is interesting (disharmonic at times) and very creative - which is the main reason I gave it a B+ and not a normal good B. These aren't arranged as radio hits would be. These songs kind of keep on going and progressing. Vocals are strong as well as the rest of the band. They sound super tight. Very solid drumming. As far as production: the vocals are recorded almost entirely with a slight distortion/telescope effect, which I wasn't too into. The instruments and mix sounded very raw and at the same time not too garage-like. This is a solid and refreshing album. I liked it, you might too.
