The genre of worship albums has become as entrenched and well defined as any other, but record production is new territory for Focus on the Family. This production by Kim Hill and The Renewing The Heart Worship Team, which was put together for a series of women's seminars across the country, isn't as predictable as it could be. A mixture of old evangelical standards and new choruses, recorded in the studio and live, it makes a good benchmark for aspiring church worship teams who are interested in providing a service to their congregations, instead of a performance. Kim Hill is returning to Christian music after a stint as a country singer, but her full-throated delivery suggests she would also do very well belting out the blues.
