Everyday is similar to the other Mary's Den projects in that it includes some extended worship songs, some improvised recordings that were included, and straight ahead, no nonsense rock songs. "Search for You" details the endeavors one can undergo when seeking to be close to God. Its tone combines Matchbox 20 with Black Crowes.
"Who You Are" could be the next song incorporated into modern worship services:

"Christian City," a Lenny Kravitz-like song, searches for that which is real, and rips into shallow faith for appearance's sake. "In Your Love" could be a Mitch McVicker tune as sung by Chris Robinson (Black Crowes). A different style is evident on "Freedom Was Captivity," which employs horns and piano, almost giving it a 70's R&B feel. "I've Been Looking for Jesus" features an extended bridge not unlike that of Blues Traveler.
The standout here is "Sometimes," a rambling improv about trying to figure life, and God out. Vocally, think Todd Snider or Rich Mullins.
Overall, Everyday is a little more adventurous than Songs from the Living Room or Free. This band has some talent, and isn't afraid to stretch.
