Hey kids, do you like NOFX? Do you like the humorous and sometimes (actually, most of the time) disgusting lyrics? Well, "Pump Up the Valuum" will be right up your ally. These punk rock favorites have returned with another batch of tunes that could easily be placed on any other album that Fat Mike has ever written. I guess that sounds negative but it really isn't. This is a pretty good album but it is not anything new for these guys. I guess one can only be so innovative when writing 3 chord songs. There are quite a few funny songs such as "What's the Matter with Parents Today" and "Thank God it's Monday". I find it difficult to critique a band that has been around so long and done as much as NOFX has. But my recommendations are this: 1) If you like NOFX's past albums then you will definitely like this one; 2) If you have never heard NOFX and can stomach the language and the sexual innuendo (which, are actually often rather blatant), then you will like this.
