"What's Mine At Twilight" is Puller's latest release from Tooth and Nail Records. Their first release on the label was the album "Sugarless" in 1995. Puller's frontman Mike Lewis was also in the 90's rock band For Love Not Lisa (Elektra Records)
To be blunt, no thanks. Honestly, I would say that every time I pressed the play button, I found something else to complain about with this disk. While Puller has paid their dues with a few previous albums, "What's Mine At Twilight" is hardly the product of time-honored development.
For one, the harmonies prance around each other desperately trying to hold a matching pitch for the majority of the album. And this problem is painfully obvious on the final ballad "If She's The One". I mean, WOW!
Musically, these guys sound like indie rockers in search of identity somewhere in between Blur and um, I don't know...uh...Pavement? If there's one thing I hate it's feeling like I'm too critical. But the fact is that this album leaves me little to praise. Hence this review's modest length. I just can't find any redeeming qualities to it. And believe me! I've been looking for awhile. Try again, Puller!
