This is a very odd album to review. It's only two songs. It's basically a single but it should just have been made into a 7". Rattle Battle comes from Boston Mass and is on Perfect Victim records so I was expecting to hear a hardcore band and I was expecting at least an Ep and not a two song single. Rattle Battle is a mix of rockabilly and 70's butt rock. Their first song on this single is "Push Up" and features a driving rockabilly sound but a little more progressive. Overall it isn't a bad song and it's something that I really haven't heard since the swing explosion a few years back. Their second song "Meltdown in Minneapolis" is full out butt rock. It's a lot like AC/DC but without the amazing metal vocals.
Two songs is nothing to write home about. Two different musical styles for one band is somewhat annoying. There is a live video on this album for Rose Tattoo's "Nice Boys".
