I don't believe it! Resurrection Band put somethin' out that's not sucky 80's blues metal, yeah! I think that might of had something to do with Ty Tabor (King's X) producing (& playing a bit) this album. Now this is no return to Rez's glory days of Awaiting Your Reply or Rainbow's End, but praise to God Almighty, they finally progressed. I've heard alot of people say that this is a King's X rip-off, but I really don't hear alot of it myself, maybe on 2 or 3 songs, but that doesn't classify as a rip-off. And glory of all glories, Wendi Kaiser's vocals are few on this album, with Glenn being predominant in the vocal area. However her vocals are better on this album, than the last few efforts. Overall the song writing (music) is excellent & of course the lyrics are the type that make ya stop & think. This is an excellent concept album. I would recommend it highly!

Heaven's Metal #54Reviewed by Doug Van PeltI'm terrified of hype. I don't know if it's because I've been disappointed so many times before or not. You know how it is: You hear that "this is the band's best album to date," and you have to wonder if they say that with every album. Now that I've heard the album, I'm glad to report that I'm not disappointed. This album finds the band returning to its basic roots of gutsy, blues-inspired hard…
The Lighthouse July 1995Reviewed by Rob SzarkaAfter more than twenty years of making great Christian rock, the folks in The Resurrection Band (formerly known as REZ, formerly known as The Resurrection Band) could have rested on their laurels. Instead, with each new album they've stuck out their necks a little and explored new sounds. Lament is not only full of musical exploration, but is a lyrical experiment as well. The project is a concept…
7ball #1Reviewed by Chris WellAfter more than 20 years and scads of albums, it must be really hard to be Resurrection Band. Although they really have turned out solid product all these years, it's been a while since they actually surprised anybody. Lament may change all that: Although their experiences as members of the Chicago inner-city ministry Jesus People USA has always infused their music with a natural sense of drama,…Similar sounding releases
