From the moment I saw this CDep, I knew I would like it. The logo on the front is the Decepticon logo from the cartoon Transformers. These guys have some kind of an obsession with them, but that's just one of the many reasons they are cool. In all of the photos in the book, the members' faces are covered. You don't know who is in the band, except for "nicknames" like Callahan, Donald Super, Timmy Warbux, Scrapiron, Firefly, and Biff Justice. I am quite certain, however, that one of them MIGHT be Dan Quiggle from xdisciplex A.D., but I have no proof except for vocal style. The music is a lot like xdisciplex too, with the brutal pounding assault that is relentless. The drums are pounding too, and the use of a double bass is thrown in where needed. But, the main outstanding thing here is the vocals. They are always changing. I do believe they have 2 vocalists and that in itself is always cool. The main vocals are very harsh and they are very much like the description in the book: a drill sergeant. The other vocals are the Dan Quiggle vocals which are much like the first type, but much more throaty and a little deeper. Thrown in periodically are some really awesome low vocals, as well as some more screamed old school hardcore vocals. The songs are short, and to the point, and so are their song names. On this release, the songs only have one word as the title. On the next release, 5 out of 10 songs have one word titles, and the most is 4 words. HARD...CORE! I really like these guys, and right after this review is the review for Autohate, so I'm not going to say anymore. Read that if you want more info on this release and of course, that one too.
