SonX is a three-piece Gospel hard rock band from southern Wisconsin. They've been together about four years. Their music, as they say, "has an in-your-face approach to presenting the Gospel"--the songs are all very Christ-centered, such as "People of the Night":

The music is made up of a mixture of styles, including metal, 70's rock, and blues but leans toward the heavy end. The blues elements and the vocals are weak; they should stay with the heavier side of their style. The solo tracks work the best--the group ones seem to be poorly mixed; they need to be farther back in the mix. The production is adequate. This isn't a great album, but it is okay. There are sound bites on their website--if you like your music heavy, give this site a visit and judge for yourself.
