Some would say that "Emotion is Dead," but not according to "Pacific Standard Time." Stairwell hails from Orange County and brings a sound along the lines of Saves the Day, and the Get Up Kids. There are some pretty catchy tunes on this disc, and the poppy beats keep you tappin' your feet the whole CD through. After the few changes, Stairwell seems to have a solid lineup now, and looks to make their presence known. This band has talent, and looks to only get better with time. They have a decent live show, also. I was impressed and I actually took more of a liking to the CD after seeing them live. With the emo / indie scene growing, look for this band to gain a following. With songs about life, love, growing up, and friendship, this is a solid release. So, pick up your girlfriend and head out to catch these guys play when they come to your area.
