This is a different Steve Camp than on Taking Heaven By Storm. In the jacket, Camp writes; "My deepest prayer as you listen to this album is that your love and worship would mature and grow in Christ. Not simply to praise Him for what He can give us (though He has blessed us in the heavenlies with every spiritual blessing in Christ) but more importantly for who He is and all that He has accomplished for the purpose of His glory!"
This sets the tone for the album-high praise and worship from the title cut "Mercy In The Wilderness" to "Remember Me." If you're into high praise and worship of the Lord because of His worthiness and holiness, this album is for you-full of "high choir" back ups. It starts out with God caring and being good to His people though they be in or going through the wilderness. Just as He cared and took care of the Israelites, His Son, and us in the wilderness. are "psalms" that David of old would be proud to sing.
