The king of hardcore, David Allen (even though he hasn't shaved his head), stepped into his new position as managing editor with an observation — "There's no hard albums in our list of album reviews this issue!" This tune changed a while later when I popped this disc into my stereo at high volume. Even tatoo-sleeved Lonny Hurley ran into the office to inquire who this was that was wafting the air with grinding distortion and sore-throated gnarly screams. And he repeated this action a week later when I popped it in again. The massive grooves are giant waves the wrap around the melodies, which are further twisted with alternate scream/sing vocals. Think Narcissus, Underoath, and those things you liked about Embodyment's Narrow Scope of Things. For hard music fans, this is that hidden gem you've been looking for.
Editors' ratings — Doug 3.5/5, David 2/5
