Kicking off their sophomore release with a funky, blues-influenced track, this three piece manage to make an old style of music sound fresh, with some creative percussion and a live sounding mix.
The later tracks don't have quite the same freshness as the opener, and occasionally head into a sub-Ocean Colour Scene sound, but the band retain an ownership of their material which can be hard to attain in their chosen genre.
Not a stunning release but a promising one, from a band who clearly have some new ideas to bring to a crowded scene.
