"SEX SONG," by Angst, begins this compilation. Now that I have your attention ... Many of these songs have an obvious synth sound mixed with guitar of varying degrees. Many also are beat oriented with the exception of White Trash Inc., Thymikon, and Engrave who are noise/ambient/darkwave. The songs I like the most are doing something unique like using cool voice effects, like Cybershadow, or experiment with the synth sound more like Cult of Jester's underwater industrial shuffle song "Gana" and Millenia's synth layering. Global Wave system and Thymikon are more atmospheric, exhibiting more emotion. Tempestuous All remind me of Mortal (from Fathom album) and Coarse of a simpler Circle of Dust. Angst even has a flute-ish or oboe-ish sound mixing back and forth with heavy, aggressive guitar. I like compilations. I really do. They sample a variety of bands who deserve to be heard and given exposure. Industrial comps may unintentionally cause a song to lose its effect and emotion by being taken "out of context". Taking one song from a bands' album can be like taking one scene out of the middle of a play. I only state this so that listeners will not under-rate these bands. 70+ minutes await you ...
