Whiteray did a pretty good job producing this 4-song tape. The engineering job by Howie Gano helps the songs stand out by offering clarity. The guitars by Anthony Bouling have a good crunch and tone. The picking intro to "Blood on My Hands" is hot also. The rhythm section sounds tight here and the song has a good hook. It's a heavy tune. The title track has some singing that wails a little too much, if you ask me. A little subtlety may have worked a lot better. Behind the snake coiled around the apple artwork - which is almost identicle to the "Come 'N' Get It" album come by Whitesnake - is some smokin' music. "Charades Behind the Mask" is another standout cut. Dale Thompson of Bride lent his background vocals to "To Die Is to Gain".
