Needing to find some more late 80's glam metal for that every now and again itch you get? Zion might just be the disc for you. It's easy to find and usually cheap. I would have to suggest to you to not pay too much for it. I'm not overly impressed with this CD and it's not one I owned back in the past so there's no sentimental value attached to this music for me.

Although this is a bit more rockin' than say XT or Shout it still doesn't have that edge that makes it the type of glam that I'm interested in listening to. It's a bit too polished and clean you know? You get everything you'd expect including the obligatory power ballad. This really reminds me of old L.A. Guns and has elements of Warrant. Not as party friendly as Warrant but still has some influences there.

The lyrics are straight out of the heart of Wisconsin (that's a pun people...get it, Wisconsin makes cheese, cheesy lyrics.) All the old clichés are thrown around and new ones are created. Then again I personally think part of the fun in listening to this old metal is to laugh at the lyrics. Like I say this is something you may want to spend a few bucks on but not too much. Don't go out of your way for it.

Dead Zine 2002Reviewed by NecRoSarXLittle piece of useless trivia: I'm best friends with the person who was supposed to replace Rex Scott of Zion- Scott Osterloh. He was slated to take over vocals after Rex bailed to front X-Sinner, but then the band and label folded. Blessing in disguise, otherwise he wouldn't experience the joy of knowing me. Anyway, just some useless filler I threw in there, and Scott, if you're reading this,…Adonai Metal Rock #3Reviewed by Daniel BaillodTranslated from the original French Whoah!! For a first album, ZION hits very, very hard!! David ZAFFIRO (BLOODGOOD's guitarist) produced this first vinyl effort: and the producer's job suits him very well, because "Thunder From The Mountain" has the benefit of a big sound, very clear. The AC/DC influences, very recognisable on their demo "Rock For Eternity", have softened a good deal (except on…Heaven's Metal #18Reviewed by Doug Van PeltThis album smokes! It's got a killer sound that tickles itching ears...but the message won't cater to the flesh. It's confrontational and to the point. "Who pulls the strings? Who makes you do those things?" Satan has "Sold You A Lie." It's time to "Kick In The Gates Of Hell" and "Roll The Rock" away from your heart. This is 80's metal all the way. Some guy named David (from a black gospel rap…Heaven's Metal #14Reviewed by Doug Van PeltThis appropriately-titled tape starts off with some excellently-produced harmonies, which kick into a real catchy hook. Zion has shredded their AC/DC clone sound to take on a more full, melodic sound not too unlike Dokken. Quite a change, huh? David Zaffiro produced this music - and did a great job. The guitars are upfront with a very solid and driving rhythm behind it. Rex Scott still has the…
