Straight off a tour with Creed followed by some headlining dates, Three Doors Down is trying to keep the momentum alive that their latest disc "The Better Life" has built up. Their hit "Kryptonite," followed by their second single "Loser" are what most rock radio fans are familiar with and it's safe to say that the rock ballad "Be Like That" will soon be added to the success story list.

The song is the only track on the disc that breaks up the flow of hard hitting rock tracks by slowing things down to bring out a deep meaning. It speaks of how people sometimes wish they were someone else. The first verse describes a person who is obsessed with being like the actors he sees on the big screen. "If I could be like that, I would give anything," sings Brad Arnold. "Just to live one day, in those shoes. I could be like that, what would I do?"

The second verse talks of a woman who has an equal amount of passion for her dream, but since she is poor, the same scenario is far from her mind. Instead, she merely watches people all day long wishing she could afford a nice house and warm bed. The track really puts life in perspective for the listener and shows that although someone may not have fame in the world's eyes, they may be more fortunate than some.

Unfortunately, that track, along with the two hits, are the only songs worth investing much time listening to. The remainder of the disc features a bunch of heavy rocking sounds in the vein of Eve 6, Stavesacre, or Stroke 9. Eventually the tracks begin to blend into one another making the listener wish for another tune along the same pace as "Be Like That" to break up the set.
