This Michigan-based hardcore band has generated an impressive underground following since their inception only a year ago. Their first EP, To Cry Out In Praise, on Selah Records, finds the band in mid-development of their melodic chaos, with their strengths and weaknesses (a tendency to drag out methodical bridges and spoken word to a boring and gratuitous level) equally displayed. Their strengths (a latent, albeit only partially tapped thus far, instinct for hooks, the ability to wreak havoc when they eventually get around to it, and a spirit of risk-taking that does pay off some here, and will pay off huge very soon) do edge out the chaff, though. Keep a close eye on Anah Aevia.
