Oklahoma has certainly impressed this reviewer with their debut cd on Kirk Campbell's (Eternal Decision) Godfather Records. One thing I love about this disc is the originality and diversity between songs. The songs are varied and all sound independent from each other (which is the opposite of typical hardcore where a band's songs tend to all sound the same). The music is non-stop relentless energy that will slam you into the wall one minute and then throw you into a moshing frenzy the next. The band's bio listed comparisons to TFU, and although some tracks are similar to that style of hardcore with odd time signatures and changes, the songs here have more groove and structure. For the most part the vocals are harsh hardcore style yells but occasionally they throw in some clear emotional vocals. Musically it is one of the best hardcore discs I have heard in the last year. The production is great. The guitars are heavy and have a lot of feel with start-stop segments and driving rhythms. The drums and bass playing are tight and well performed. Overall this disc is well executed and a worthy purchase for the new generation of hardcore.

HM Magazine #84Reviewed by Tim McCreadyReading that their tastes included bands like Training for Utopia, Quicksand, and Zao, my hopes were high. I can't say they were fulfilled. Though I can see the comparisons, the album just lacks the intensity and complexity to get me really excited about them. I'm not totally writing these guys off, though. The recording sounds good, and the songs are good, just not great. There's always the next…
Art for the Ears 2000Reviewed by Marco PovervestThis is a year old hardcore album from Eleven Hours Down. The band at that time consisted of Marshall, Tracy (who produced the album) and Dave. On There's Hope...they present fifteen songs with uncompromising hardcore. The songs feature fast parts as well as slowed down stuff. In some songs there's singing together (Morning) but this doesn't sound very good, to my idea. Pure And Simple however…
Dead Zine 1999Reviewed by D_ListerEvery time I listen to this CD I get reminded of two bands that are no longer around. Strongarm and Everdown. Now this is not a bad thing, seeing how I'm a huge fan of both of them. Yet at the same time Eleven Hours Down has a distinct element that is all their own. Influenced by the ever growing aggro-rock/metal scene they blend all these styles of music together to create a really nice and…Similar sounding releases
