Embodyment are Texas heroes who have released albums with Tooth and Nail records but have released "Songs for the Living" with XS records. The album was produced by Barry Poynter.
When I reviewed Embodyment's last album I made the comment that if their two guitarists played different parts and stuck in some technical work that the effect blended with their already soaring vocals and well written songs would be something very special. Well I'm not sure what happened, but they did exactly that. "Songs for the Living" is a collection of very catchy melodies and sharp, driving guitar parts. Above it all are remarkable vocals that draw you in for the kill. Their version of melodic rock is very well done and I really like where they are headed.
