The good people at Nascent Frost were happy to unleash some doomy, fast, tasty metal from the one-man wrecking crew known as Encryptor. Felipe Diez does a good job of blasting out some quick, concise drumming, speedy guitars and all the while spitting out some convincing death metal vocals with plenty of counter-positioned shrill black-like screams. While you might be able to predict where some of the riffs and chord progressions go before they get there, it is an enjoyable journey.

    Other coverage for this album

Dead Zine 2001Reviewed by D_ListerThe spine of this CD has, besides the band name and album title 'NFPCD01' on it. Signifying the first release by Nascent Frost Productions as a label in and of itself. Drowning in Flesh is also the first album by the brutal death metal band Encryptor and proves to be a good start for both the band and the label. Musically speaking we are given what I'd call mid to high paced death metal, nothing…
