In the game of metal-core, there are either really bad bands and then there are good bands and every once in a while there are some amazing bands. When I mention metal-core, I am talking about bands like Poison The Well and older Hopesfall. I am very particular when it comes to this genre. I really don't like it. Sometimes there are some bands that tickle my fancy but for the most part I really don't like it, maybe because it has become trendy and watered down and it's all about head bangers ball. Out of about the thousand albums I own, I would say that I only own about five metal-core albums and I feel the same way about pop-punk.
Glory of This is one of those bands that are just good. They aren't great. They are pretty talented a lot more poppy than many of their peers but they just didn't impress me all that much. They aren't bad. I don't hear the generic or trendy bleeding out this album but then again it isn't anything that hasn't been done before. I would like to see them live and maybe my opinion would change a little. If you are a fan of the metal-core scene, you'll be like a fat kid on cake.
