The Hoods are from Sacramento, CA and have been around for over ten years. "Pray for Death" is their second Victory release.

The Hoods have taken a different twist on a classic sound. They've approached the NYC hardcore sound with a metallic influence similar to past label mates N.I.V. Music of this genre can sometimes have an album chock full of songs that all run together, but the Hoods writing style offers individualized tracks. Lyrically, "Pray for Death" is an album that deals with a lot of pain and depression. The album lays out personal feelings of loss, anger and rejection. This is one of those CD's that makes you want to hear the music live and be in the thick of it.
