The title track "Hate Regime" opens with fast and furious drums, REALLY heavy guitars and heavily distorted death growls. I'm impressed with the brutality on this track... REALLY heavy stuff!!! It got me headbanging as I'm writing this review.

"Mindwarped" another extremely brutal and fast track. I'm very surprised by this bands energy. This is a very tight song with really crunching guitar effects, but the vocals become hardcore-ish after a while. Some parts sound like speed/thrash with lotsa death influences. By the way, almost every track on this album has cool guitar solos. It leads to "Unwanted Killer". This track sounds a bit Industrial to me, especially on the effects and the vocals. Heavily distorted vocals dominate this song, again the drumming is fast and furious. I wonder whether the drummer got cramps after recording this album

"The Descent Into Hades", the double bass lets us know the quality of this song.. Black vocals echo through the growled animal in the vocalist. The music (melody) sounds a bit weaker, focusing on vocals to lead the effects of this track. The Industrial track "Society" follows this track, and I heard from the distro that there are no drum machines used on this album so the drumming on this song are done manually...really kewl. Intense guitars, great (again) drumming. Great melody, can make you wanna sing to the chorus 'I don't wanna die' which is repeated over and over again on this track.

"Who am I" this is one of my favorite songs on this album, but the vocalist sounds like James Hetfield of Metallica, especially when he drags the lyrics. Great melody, but don't be mistaken, when I say melody. I didn't mean Melodic Death Metal as in Ebony Tears, in Flames, but a great tune. Wonder who wrote this track, really good! The guitar solo on the following track "Killing Ground" made me think that this is a classic metal track, but far from it the double bass and the intense riffing comes in just about 30 secs into the song made me rethink my position. Thrash/Death (ever heard of this hybrid?) is all I can describe of this track. Occasional double bass on this song, if only the whole song can have been double bass.

"The Last journey" hey really deep vocals are dominate here, but sadly this song is done in mid-paced speed. If only they can speed this song up with more black vocals to lend in the effect, this will be a very outstanding track. The next 3 instrumental tracks that follow are great..but you know the thing about instrumentals..it's hard to comment on them.

"Paradigm" the BEST song and my favorite track on this album. This is grind/death at it's greatest. The guitars tuned to very low, with deep growls, intense riffs and (again) the greatest drumming. No other genre on this track except death/grind. I think this is also a reason for it being my favorite as I love death/grind over the other genre of metal. Death metal with great melody is the only way to describe this song. Listen to it on my sound sample page to realize how great this song actually is.

"Catacombs of Death" from what I read about this track on Necromanicide's official website. I would expect more than what I got, it was described as a 'killer tune' but I'm kinda disappointed with it. I expected a fast and furious black metal song, only to find a mid-paced piece with the speed going up only at parts of this song. but thankfully the closing number "Social Grievance" is good, the speed, riffs, solo a good thrash song, a sing-along chorus (don't flame me) make me waiting for the 2nd release from this band, but from what I heard 2 members have left the band to further their studies, hopefully they don't go on a permanent hiatus.

Once again, I salute the drummer for his great performance on this album.

HM Magazine #73Reviewed by Willow DeLangeThe first thing I noticed about this CD is the great artwork. When I started listening it took me by surprise: it's metal! And although it's not really my thing, it's quality stuff. There's a variety of styles on it that ranks from the old school hardcore The Crucified excelled in, to the speedmetal of Deliverance to growly deathmetal. The Phantom Tollbooth 1998Reviewed by Chris King / Josh SpencerThis is really a difficult album to review, or even to listen to. Variety dominates every aspect, whether it's the music, vocals, or quality of songwriting. Don't get the wrong idea. The members of Necromanicide are definitely skilled musicians with the talent to write good songs, but a more focused direction would be to their benefit. Hate Regime borders on being a metal compilation CD...by one…Dead Zine 1998Reviewed by D_ListerNecromanicide (Neh-Kro-Man-Ee-Syde) Death to Necromancy. I love good old Death Metal don't you? Well if you do then you need to check into Necromanicide. This band fully embraces the genre with every aspect. From the killer name to the fully black album, to the deep heavy blast beats that emanate from the music, and pound your skull. yet they are not the unexperimental type of band either. Now…Dead Zine 1998Reviewed by FetusWelp, here's another band that chooses to play about 10 music genres (thrash, power, death, doom,+). I'm with this whole concept when they all are done well (DEUTERONOMIUM for example), but this LP has some serious lack. I do admit some of the death/doom songs present decent guttural flow, but the music remains simple. Unwanted Killer has an IRON MAIDEN style chorus which include the ever so lame…Dead Zine 1998Reviewed by FletchI hate to say it but I expected a little more out of this one. I had heard good things and I had read good things but when I got this cd I was not able to enjoy it. To be honest, it almost sounds like it's making fun of death metal at times. The vocals are not always the same but hardly ever good. The music is not bad, but again, hardly ever good. Not to be the bearer of bad news, but I would…
