I am torn in two here. I am not really a fan of On Our Own's style of hardcore (more of a tough guy brutal sound) but I am really drawn to their lyrics about politics and social awareness within the world and the hardcore scene. The overall sound of the album is lacking any type of power. With the style that they are playing I would expect something along the line of the quality of Terror. I think the lyrics are great. They are honest and straight forward but I just can't get into the sound. It's slow and sludgy in some parts and I just find myself being bored. It's not really anything to write home about. It's an average hardcore record.
