River City High formed in 1999 and has toured with Less Than Jake, New Found Glory, and Juliana Theory. This album, "Won't Turn Down," is being released on Big Wheel Recreation and Doghouse Records.

Chances are you've seen River City High play. They have been on the road a lot, opening up for almost everybody. I've seen them numerous times, but I've never really stuck around to watch them. RCH is a poppy-punk-rock and roll outfit from Richmond.

"Won't Turn Down" is very repetitive with each song sounding like the one that preceded it. The vocals also bother me, because it sounds like the singer has a head cold. The guitar leads all sound the same and have the potential to really get on one's nerves. While the production and recording are decent, the basic songwriting fails at producing anything that could be called creative. If you want to get a good idea of what this sounds like, just listen to a song or two and you'll have a good representative sample of the whole thing, because all the songs fit the same basic mold.
