If you aren't familiar with Sam Levine, you either don't like saxophone music, or you must have been living a bit of a sheltered life. Levine plays the soprano sax, drawing an immediate comparison to Kenny G for most people.
On Christmas Sax, Levine presents some soothing instrumental renditions of familiar Christmas carols. He doesn't overshadow the orchestral arrangements like you might expect. In fact, there are times where there is hardly any sax playing.
This soft instrumental project will likely bore most rowdy teens but find favor with most everyone else. I suggest it for calming background music after all the presents are opened and everyone is relaxing around the Christmas tree.
