emo indie rock

I'd never heard of this band until we got this CD sent to us for review, so I'm not even sure of how big this band is, or is not. This CD has only five songs, one of which is a really boring song called "Parachute Fails," which I still don't understand why it was put on the CD. It's the third song, too, so it's right in the middle of the CD. But at least it is a CD and you can always just skip over that song rather easily. The rest of the CD is pretty good. I like the singer's voice, and the music is pretty cool too. It kind of rocks, but it also doesn't knock you over or anything. This is yet another band that would generally fall into the indie rock or emo genre. But I bet they don't want to be called emo. Not many of the bands who get that label do. The songs are well-written and the CD is rather well-recorded. I think their sound is sorta similar to what you might expect from the band Hum. They also give off that "wall of guitar sound" in most of the songs, yet there are a lot of melodies and an overall modern rock pop feel.
