Ten-Foot Pole has been together in one shape or form since 1982. Previously with Epitaph, T.F.P. has recently signed with Victory Records.
There are only a few bands that can get away with playing hyper-beat punk and still get respect these days. Ten-Foot Pole is one of them. Although their sound hasn't remained stagnant over the years, they are still playing their brand of new school punk. "Bad Mother Trucker," continues in this tradition. While B.M.T. is a solid album, it lacks that extra punch...that push over the edge if you will. I hate to use the word blah, but musically it may apply. The lyrics reflect a variety of interests from love to politics so there's something for everyone. The album is nicely recorded, put together well, but just didn't grab me.
