Okay. "Thorn Crown" . . . Another death metal band name, right? Wrong! Think Pearl Jam. Cool, brooding guitars create a low end groove. The vocals throughout are good, often using many voices to harmonize. Definitely one for the grunge generation, these 11 songs are packaged in sonic clarity, making for a good, laid-back listen. If I were a label, I'd probably be glad to just take this project as is and get it out there.
