As with the last issue of Dead and the last review of a Ballistic Test product, there is no way anyone interested in the dark underground of Christian music can possibly go wrong with these tapes. BT4 is without a doubt the best of the three Ballistic Test tapes I've heard.
The first track is the Christian response to Marilyn Manson or even Type O Negative at times in the band called Rackets & Drapes, doing a song called Milk & Cookies. Man what a good song this is. I can't wait to hear more from this band.
Graphic Verses offers the song The Window, which is something that can only be called dark. This is a scary moody song that simply must be heard to be understood. Haunted vocals come in and out through the music which is mixed with a lot of noise.
A remix of Parasitic by Audio Paradox is found on the B-side, and you can never go wrong with an Audio Paradox song. Called the "fist of spaghetti mix," this version offers a melodic feel to the song, but is without a doubt the song you know and love.
Other bands to make this tape is the much talked about Veer Chasm, Deep Blue Black, The November Commandment, A Different Kind Of Cop, and Forint/100.
Again, four bucks, 8 songs, a glimpse of what is to come. I suggest getting over to the Ballistic Test Productions webpage and getting a copy of BT4 before they are gone. As with the previous releases by BTP, these are a very short run.
8/10
