Look, Ma -- a rapcore compilation! Just what we needed! Sigh. Well, I guess this won't hurt any . . . I'll give it a spin. Hey! This ain't so bad. TFK starts things off on a high note, and Like David and E.SO keep the energy level up. What is impressive, though, is how the lineup of rookies perform. Natural Saint, 38th Parallel and Staple all weigh in with notable, albeit imperfect, noise. Yes, there's a Rage wanna-be here and there doing something we've heard RATM do with more grit and passion, so this album doesn't completely defy me and Ma's presuppositions, but this is still the first Christian hip-hop rock compilation album and its historical significance is not unnoticed.
