3:16 Records is a division of Rescue Records, combined they are some of my favorite producers of music on the market at the moment. I really do have great appreciation for most all of their bands. Victory in Christ is the next compilation being offered, this one focusing on 3:16 Records artists. The problem here is most of the songs are already released on the bands' current albums. Granted you get used to buying a comp, and then having all the albums come out and getting the songs again, but this time around I already own half of these albums.

What you get here is a collection of mostly hardcore and emo with a bit of punk thrown in just for annoyance...I mean just for a change of pace. I will say that for the $10.99 the stores are charging you get 17 tracks and if you are not really all that familiar with 3:16's roster of bands it's well worth the money.

In all fairness there are several bands that are not signed by 3:16; including Stairwell and Twothirtyeight, from Takehold Recs, Overcome, Figure Four, and Point of Recognition from Facedown Recs, Headnoise and Redeem from Sofa Recs (RIP), and xDisciplex AD from Goodfellow Recs, plus a few self presented bands like Bereaved, At Peace While Burning, and Nine Page Apology.

Quality wise every track is pretty darn good. This does make this comp. stand out quite a bit. This would be a great party CD or one to play before a show due to the diversity, length and quality.

Headnoise is next with "Heads Like Humans," doing what they do with sass and frass. Onceblind do a ZAO intro to "Loyalty," and then transition into a pounding cymbal-fest. 238 mellow things out for a…Dead Zine 2001Reviewed by the ProjectWell I really don't have too much to say about Victory in Christ, which is a compilation of hardcore, punk, emo, and death music. It was ok. Some of the songs were solid, but most of the bands were just pitiful. The upside was tunes by bands like Fasedown, P.O.D., Onceblind, Figure Four, and Point of Recognition. The downside was bands like Ancient of Days, Headnoise and Twothirtyeight. It is…
