I've got some bad news. This is NOT a new album from Coalesce. This is a re-issued and re-mastered version of Coalesce's 1997 album Give Them Rope. Nevertheless, Coalesce was and still is one of the most amazing hardcore bands of all time. They have influenced countless numbers of bands and have mesmerized countless numbers of fans with their bass driven metal influenced slug fests that were packed into every lp, ep and seven inch.

It is amazing that this album was released over seven years ago but this re-released version blows my mind. They bring a style of complex hardcore that is nothing like anything I have ever heard. I have been a Coalesce fan for quite some time but they are one of the few bands I can listen to over and over and just be amazed by the depth of their recordings and this album is not any different. The sound is better than the original and there are a few differences you might hear here and there. There is new cover art. The cover art looks like a Scott Sinclair (hot water music cover artist) rip off but it does look better than the original.

If you are a Coalesce fan...you need this.
