I was not expecting what I was about to hear when I popped in this Mock Orange album into my stereo. In my mind I was thinking I would hear some bland slow-core rock, that would numb my senses and put me to sleep. I couldn't have been more wrong. What I heard was as close to indie rock bliss as you could get. Fans of 238 and other similar bands, would definitely like this band. Many of the songs just rock out, but always wind down to this slow, often accompanied with a nice picking part, bridge which builds back up to the chorus. Surprisingly, the songs don't get boring after the half way mark, like so many other songs that fit this genre. They stay interesting throughout, without falling off track on some tangent. This is just a great album to listen to, and I recommend you all pick this one up as soon as you can.
