The first track of this CD, "Too Da** Loud", is pretty much your straight up power-pop tune, very similar in style to older Weston material. The CD continues to progress along in the same power-pop style as the opening track. The songs are filled with catchy hooks, melodic yet often whiny vocals, and great guitar riffs. As you may have guessed most of the lyrics have to do with girls and high school life in general. This is a pretty impressive first release. The production wasn't the best, but the songs are there, and this is definitely one of those bands that caught my attention as soon as I put the CD in. They do attempt to change things up during the course of the CD. For proof of this just check out the very quirky and almost Danielson Family/They Might Be Giants sounding song, "Story".
If you're into the whole power-pop/geek rock thing (Ultimate Fakebook, Size 14, Ridel High, Nerf Herder) then you're probably gonna want to check these guys out. I definitely was pleasantly surprised. I wish I was writing stuff like this when I was in High School instead of playing the saxophone in the High School Marching band.
