I don't know if you've noticed, but punk has gotten huge. Bands like Offspring and The Flaming Lips, with their quirky yet infectious pop melodies and stripped down, raw delivery, are taking over the radio waves. Here comes Plank Eye with a smash follow-up to their forgettable debut.
Most of the music lays back in a groove, making for an enjoyable listen. Reminds me somewhat of Asight Unseen. You hear cool, Smashing Pumpkins-like grooves in "Open House" and a throbbing, plodding groove in "Tonight."
These guys could be huge.
