Hardcore, metal, grind, whatever you want to call it, there's no denying the fact that this hits you and hits you hard. Initially what might catch your ear is the driving, solid guitar force and fast as lightning drums. Eventually, you hear the method to the madness with subtle melodies, leads, and structured breakdowns. I know this album has been getting lots of press, but while I find it a fun listen, there isn't anything all that potentially gripping aside from the intensity. Stand out tracks include "Stolen Breath" and "Covered in Lights," which was my favorite on the album.
