Victory Records German band Waterdown is a relatively new band, having formed in April of 2000. They have toured with the likes of Grade, Snapcase, Boy Sets Fire and many more Nationally known acts. This is their debut release on Victory Records.

As German as Bratwurst, Waterdown isn't that old, but the members that make up the band are not newcomers to the scene. The guys in the band have come from four different bands (including the German Metal band Caliban). Because of this wide-ranging background, the sound of Waterdown is new and exciting. The harmonies are great, both from singing and screaming. Featuring six members, (a singer, a screamer, two guitars, bass, and drums) the overall sound is sweet. The heavy screaming and double bass are backed up with tight leads and harmonic hooks. No song better represents their sound than "Round Two," which has some harmonies that will draw you in, while the drums and technical leads finish you off. The artwork is really good. There is a painting of a girl's face on the front cover and an Elvis lookalike with four arms on the back. The lyrics are the usual cryptic sort and the recording is good. All the different pieces of this puzzle come together for a really slick sound. If this is any indication of the future of rock, sign me up.
