Emo. This albums is pretty much what you'd expect from a good emo band. Standard emo vocals and the guitars stay away from holding out emo chords in favor of more melodic guitar lines. The songs are decent. The tempo ranges from slow to mid tempo to some that are more upbeat. The more upbeat ones interested me more (I'm not one for slow stuff). Musically it's all there. Nothing bad to say really. Something I find interesting is their production of the vocals. In some of the songs the vocals sound like they were recorded in a hall of some kind. The vocals lose some definition while gaining a certain ambiance. I personally would have liked more defined vocals, but I can see what they were trying to get at. In all this is a decent album that you'd might want to check out if you're into the whole emo thing.
