I'm usually not really into metal. It usually just bores me. I feel like I'm hearing the same song over and over and then again most metal bands sound the same. I thought I would get the same results from Summer's End. I was pretty much wrong. This band has got some licks. The drumming is outstanding and the guitar work is pretty impressive. This is for fans of bands like Nile, The Red Chord and Lamb Of God. The initial look I got at the art work made me think this was a Misfits wannabe and not metal but yet again I was wrong. I was right in a way as well. Ex-Misfits lead singer, Michael Graves makes a guest appearance on the song Headwound which was also written by Graves...I guess Glenn Danzig was too busy. Summer's End is extremely brutal and technical but also a pleasant listen...as pleasant as metal can be.
