Hey Mercedes features X-members Braid, and has been touring nonstop over the last few years. They are currently signed with Vagrant records and have released this 4-song EP with them.
The last time I saw H.M. was with their Hot Rod Circuit and Dashboard tour. I was really bored and didn't enjoy them at all. This EP caught me off guard. It was much better then what I had remembered and I'm not sure if I have a bad memory, or they have gotten better. In any case, the whole EP is built on snappy guitar parts and then combined with poppy rhythmic song structure. It's a pleasant listen that's worth the time.
