When I first started listening to this album, one word came to my mind: simple. Everything about this band just steamed from that word. They had smooth simple guitar parts, nice bass lines that added to the guitars, and a good simple beat on the drums. Even the vocals were "simple." They had a real good sound going on, something that put them into that "indie rock" type category. I'm thinking, this is the kind of band Tooth and Nail would have signed when they first started out. Well, I was surprised as I continued to listen to the disc, that they had some full out rocking songs on it. I was convinced this was purely a melodic band, this being the first time I have actually listened to them. This was a pleasant surprise though. These songs added a nice contrast to the other, slower songs. It made this album seem more complete. I noticed that all of these songs have very strong choruses that just stick in your head. This is a very good album that would be a nice addition to your collection.
