This EP was hyped both for its affiliation with NOFX's record label and because it's touted as MxPx getting back to their older sound. Mad props to Fat Wreck Chords for working with a band associated with the "Christian" music industry. For those of you who were looking forward to the old aggro MxPx, welcome to Disappointment Island. A whopping two out of the nine songs are anything like that Pokinatcha style, and even those are played in that same weak guitar sound that they've become accustomed to on the last two albums. The rest of the songs sound like they just decided to release extra tracks that didn't make it onto their last record. If you liked the last couple CDs MxPx has put out, you'll like this too. But if you're looking for something a little different and a little more like Pokinatcha, keep looking.
